Coffee Election Results 2014

Did you know there is a city named Coffee County in Tennessee? 

Many of us drink coffee, some of us may make crafts with it, however living in Coffee is a new level. Here are some exciting facts about Coffee County you may have not known.  

• Only 19% of voters showed up for a primary election for Mayor, although candidate Tim Brown received 2,304 votes as the democratic candidate. If I had to bet on this election I would bet on Brown, as he received 81% of the total votes cast. 
• General John Coffee, a close friend of Andrew Jackson was a war hero in the 1812 war (Indian War) and this city was named in his honor in 1836. 
• Coffee County is home to the US Air force Engineering Development Center (yes, where they make the next generation missiles and aircraft etc.)
•  The Bonnaroo Music Festival is an annual event that takes place in Coffee Country and makes Coffee the largest city in Manchester TN for those 4 days a year.
