Julio is the steady hand guiding The Chosen Bean Operations. He’s worn many hats throughout his career — and each one sharpened the discipline, creativity, and leadership he brings to our roastery every day.

“I’ve always loved solving problems and building systems that help people do their best work.”

Growing up in Venezuela, Julio became an engineer — a foundation that shaped his methodical mindset. After coming to the United States, he put his talents to work as a printer and a professional photographer, developing a keen eye for precision, color, and detail.

Today, he’s found his passion at The Chosen Bean, where he orchestrates people, processes, and quality so every bag we ship is roasted, packed, and delivered with care.

From Engineer to Coffee

Engineering taught Julio how to think in systems. Printing taught him consistency and standards. Photography honed his storytelling and aesthetics. Coffee brought it all together — craft, community, and continuous improvement.
