Is it the roast or is it the region?
I received a sampler pack of a certain freshly roasted coffee blend last week and decided to try it this morning.
Very excited, at 5:30 a.m. I carefully prepared 4 cups of coffee and watched as the coffee slowly dripped into the pot. I poured myself a cup and began to sip it. The cup had a strong flavor and an even stronger (unpleasant) after taste. This taste remained long after a smoothie and cereal and milk at 10:30 a.m.
Thinking about it, wondering if it was the roast, the blend or the region/farm it was grown on?
Haven't figured it out yet, but when I do, I will be sure to write about it. I doubt it was the region, as it is a known region that produces fine coffees.
Once thing is for sure, at The Chosen Bean, we will not sell it, if we don't think it passes the taste test.
